Calculation To Determine Engine Power For Hydraulic Submersible Pump

In order to determine the Engine power, we need to calculate the Brake Power at Hydraulic Pump Shaft in Hydraulic System.

The Brake Power at Hydraulic Pump Shaft can be determined based on the Brake Power at Water Pump shaft and taking into consideration the efficiency of the Hydraulic System.

The power at the water pump shaft is determined using the following formula:

Brake Power at Water Pump Shaft = Water Flow (m3/hr) X Head (m) ÷ 367 ÷ Water Pump Efficiency (η)

Brake Power at Hydraulic Pump Shaft = Brake Power at Water Pump Shaft ÷ Hydraulic System Efficiency = Engine Power
